      1. I hope to try some also. There is a soup that my mother and grandmother both made a white soup with pork neckbones (supposedly use to be made with rabbit). It also has sugar, vinegar, onion, and egg in it. They called it “Polish sweet-sour soup”. I make it often for myself, but have no idea what it’s actually called.

  1. I’m so glad a friend shared this on Facebook. My parents are both of Polish decent. Both sets of grandparents came from the “old country”. So I’m 100 %.

  2. Thank you for your recipes. My mom and grandma never wrote anything down so I am trying to recreate all my favorite childhood foods. Your site brings back good memories! Do you have any recipes using oxtails? My grandma made a wonderful soup from them that I can’t quite duplicate.

    1. Hi Michelle. So glad you’re here! Happy to share with you my family recipes. My dad makes a mean oxtail soup, I’ll have to get the recipe. Stop by again and keep cooking. 🙂 Anna

  3. How wonderful to be celebrating my Polish roots that stem from my mother and her parents. While a child my father ridiculed her for her being Polish. He was Czech. They are very similar. So I purpose to exalt my Polish heritage ’til I die! Thank you for illuminating the beauty and wealth of that nationality.

  4. I just found this website via a post on Facebook and I am so glad that I did. I am polish and I cook many polish family recipes. I was so excited to see so many new ones to try here. I love this site!
