Polish Your Kitchen: Sweet Traditions is a complete guide to the world of heartwarming Polish sweets. This beautiful cookbook celebrates beloved family recipes passed down through generations. From delicate pastries, through cookies, babkas, donuts to festive holiday treats, each recipe is a special journey into Poland’s culinary heritage – made simple for every home baker.

This book is perfect for home bakers rediscovering sweet Polish family traditions or exploring Polish cuisine for the first time.

🍰About the book:

The cookbook is a collaboration between my good high school friend and a pastry chef Magdalena Kasjaniuk and I. We both shared our family recipes but she was also able to provide a professional take on layer cakes and other traditional Polish cakes that I was not familiar with making. We both put a lot of heart into it. We spent close to 2 years writing, testing, tasting, trying and redoing over 80 recipes to bring you a complete guide to Polish sweets.

This book will bring you right into a Polish home and remind you of the recipes that were shared in your Polish home and introduce you to new ones. These are the recipes that you will find:

On the cover you will find traditional Polish wycinanki done by a talented Polish artist Jagoda Nastała. Each square tile is made by hand using just paper and scissors. They are made by folding paper before cutting to create simple designs as flowers, roosters, trees and also very intricate village scenes.

Originally, wycinanki were used to decorate farmhouse walls, shelves, and windows—especially during holidays. Today, they are cherished as an iconic symbol of Polish folk art. I am very glad to have worked with pani Jagoda to include a bit of traditional culture in my book. You can see more of her work here and here.
