Welcome to my Polish food blog! Here, I share memories of growing up in Poland in the 80s and 90s, and Polish food and customs patiently kept alive at my Polish-American home. I’m not a professional chef, just a home cook influenced by years of listening, watching and tasting, who's constantly craving flavors and smells of home. Join my network of friends and stay in touch with your roots through my stories.
My family is all getting together this Christmas for dinner. Five generations. So, I am going to purchase 20 of your cookbooks.
Hi Mary, I will send you a note about this tomorrow. 😊
Hi Anna,I love reading your stories of your life and family in Poland,it reminds me of when I lived with my babcia for four years, she thaught me so much,we forages for all the Berry’s in the forest which she transformed into delisheus things to eat and preserves,by the time I was7 I knew which mushroom was edible and which not,in the sixtys there wasn’t much in shops but basics but you never went hungry and nothing ever went to waste, love all you you do and am inspired to start cooking polish food again, much love, Janina,
Hi Janina, these were the old days… I think time went by slower back then… I’m glad you’re enjoying it. Keep cooking! 🙂
