Just stumbled across your post & I subscribed. My grandma browned her kluski in bacon fat in a cast iron skillet to finish them. Also, we still make our own polish sausage. The recipe is at least 4 generations old, 150-200 years.
Sounds like she knew what she was doing 🥰
